Volunteers from the Media Fair Trade Committee volunteered at the sign-up table and as race marshals at the Media Five Mile Race on June 17. We also secured a donation of 5 cases of Fair Trade bananas for the after-race celebration. Big shout out to Martindale’s Natural Market in Springfield PA for that donation! Martindale’s is only a few miles from Media and has an extensive inventory of Fair Trade goods! And thank you to Ernie Derrickson and the Media Five Mile Organization for distributing the race proceeds to many local non profits including our committee.
