Shop and Dine in Media to Support Fair Trade and Local Keep your dollars in our community by shopping locally – and make your dollars more impactful by supporting less fortunate producers here and around the world. You will find restaurants and cafes serving Fair Trade sugar, coffee and tea, and stores selling Fair Trade and local crafts, clothing and accessories, chocolate, snacks, drinks, baking ingredients, coffee, tea, body care products and soccer balls. Check our website for a full list of shops and products. Please ask for Fair Trade wherever you go and if you see something we missed, please let us know. Fair Trade Trip to Ghana April 2023  I wonder how many of you know of the Fair Trade Triangle relationship we have with Garstang UK, the First Fair Trade Town in the world, and New Koforidua in Ghana, Africa’s First Fair Trade Town. As a way to support Fair Trade cocoa growers in Ghana, folks in the UK started a non profit social enterprise to support Chocolate Has A Name, an effort to teach girls in schools in Ghana to make chocolate from the cocoa grown there. We would love for folks from Media to attend their first excursion from April 4 to April 11 2023. Check out the details here. Media Fair Trade Committee Needs an Executive Director If you like your work to make a positive impact in the lives of less fortunate individuals and have good administrative skills, we have a position for you. You would be working with a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers including our board of directors. It requires good computer skills and a friendly manner, and would be managing volunteer efforts, communications, spearheading projects and seeing them through to their conclusions.
