The Media Fair Trade Town Committee, Transition Town Greater Media and Bike DelCo will once again have a free bike valet tent at Dining Under the Stars every week. Ride your bike or scooter to town and park it at our tent where we will watch it while you stroll and dine. We will be on State St at Jackson near the live music tent. We have free bike lights to offer riders and from time to time will have other giveaways, soccer ball juggling contests and lots of information about biking in DelCo, fair trade in Media and around the world, and everything TTGM does like the Media Free Store, native plants, local food including mushroom foraging, environmental initiatives, local economy, zero waste and community.
Even if you end up driving your gas guzzler to town, getting frustrated for 20 minutes looking for a parking spot and then lining the borough coffers with your parking fee or parking ticket (ha ha, just kidding!), please come by for information and to sign up for our various enewsletters. We also hope to do some little bike repair demos like fixing a flat, lubricating your chain and checking bike and helmet fit.
Another initiative this year will be leading some rides to Dining Under the Stars from outlying areas like Swarthmore. And you might have the chance to do that testing an electric bike!
