Our Fair Trade Town of Media, PA is full of meaningful Fair Trade encounters to be had; one such establishment is our very own Burlap and Bean Roasthouse and café!
With its original site founded in Newtown Square, in the very same year that Media became the First Fair Trade Town in the Americas (circa 2006!), Burlap and Bean now boasts locations in both Media (we celebrated their opening in 2017 with this post!) and Delaware County Community College. From the start, this exemplary organization has been dedicated to procuring 100% Fair Trade and Organic coffee beans, which they roast to perfection, creating delicious blends for every palate. According to founders and owners Brent and Tara Endicott, Burlap and Bean is likely “Media’s biggest supporter in terms of gross [Fair Trade] purchase in a given year.”
We see why Burlap and Bean motto is “Caring is our commerce”!
